Charming stay with excellent dining
I recently enjoyed a delightful two-night visit. The room was bright and impeccably clean, with lovely views of the local church. Breakfast was a treat, especially the full English and smoked salmon options. the staff's warm Yorkshire wit added to the experience. I’d also recommend the evening bar food, which was wonderfully prepared. One downside was the limited parking nearby, but we managed to find a spot with a short walk.

The stay was quite enjoyable during our visit to the Yorkshire Dales. The room was recently renovated and absolutely comfy, making for a great night’s sleep. Breakfast had plenty of delicious options, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location was also perfect for exploring the charming village and nearby attractions, though the parking situation was a bit tricky at times.

Mixed Experience – Beautiful Location but Disappointing Dining
We enjoyed our stay in a cozy room, though the dining experience left much to be desired. The meals were dry and overcooked, which dampened our spirits. Still, the warmth of the atmosphere made up for some of the dining shortcomings. Pack snacks if you’re dining in.

Cozy atmosphere with well-decorated rooms that embrace a rustic charm, making it feel inviting. The common areas have a warm, pub-like vibe perfect for unwinding after a long day.
The single-glazed windows let in quite a bit of morning traffic noise, which might wake you up earlier than planned. Breakfast offered overcooked bacon and undercooked eggs during my visit, with a noticeable lack of cereal options, making mornings less appealing. the evening meal didn't quite meet expectations, with dry chicken and overcooked dishes that could definitely use some attention.
